WEEKLY UPDATE FOR MARCH 20, 2020

March 20, 2020: Seminole County, Georgia — The City of Donalsonville and Seminole County have been closely monitoring the recent reports and information on COVID 19, commonly referred to as coronavirus, over the last several weeks. Like you, we have watched as this illness has moved into our country, our state and now our community. While the City and County are not the public health organization for our area, we have been working closely to learn more information from our public health partners with the Seminole County Health Department, Georgia Department of Public Health, Centers for Disease Control and World Health Organization. This communication is not meant to alarm you, but to let you know that the local government is working to prepare for the spread of illness over the coming weeks.

For verified information, please make sure to check our websites as well as the Seminole County EMA website at http://seminole-ema.org/. We will also push urgent information and updates out through our Code Red call notification system. To sign up for Code Red, visit the local Sheriff’s webpage at https://seminoleso.com/.
